‘Credit Transfer’ or ‘Transfer Credit’ used by colleges and universities refers to a process where credits are transferred to students for their studies and educational experiences undertaken at a different institution.
The reason for academic credit transfer can be varied. It could be something personal, like a student or their family member changing jobs, health issues, being unsatisfied with their current institution, or a course being discontinued. For transferring credits to a different university, a student may need to complete their ongoing semester at their current university before transferring their credits to the another university.
