4th March 2026
At East Bridge University, we recognise that doctoral research does not falter due to a lack of intelligence or ambition. More often, challenges emerge because early planning decisions are not sufficiently structured. Clarity at the beginning shapes confidence at every stage that follows.
With this understanding, East Bridge University will be hosting a focused live online session titled “Stop Losing Track: The 3 Pillars of Doctoral Research Planning” on 14th March. Led by Dr Sanjib Chakraborty, the session is a two-hour interactive webinar that invites doctoral scholars to pause, reflect, and approach their research planning with greater methodological intention.
A Framework for Early-Stage Clarity
The session is structured around what we describe as the “Right Topic, Right Sample, Right Access” framework. While these pillars may appear simple, each entails significant methodological and logistical implications.
Selecting a topic requires more than intellectual interest; it demands alignment with a feasible research design. Identifying a sample is not only about relevance, as well as also accessibility and ethical viability. Planning for access involves anticipating practical and procedural realities before data collection begins. When these items are considered carefully at the outset, scholars are more likely to reduce mid-course adjustments and avoid avoidable delays.
Rather than offering only conceptual theory, this session will concentrate on practical research planning decisions that directly influence timely and successful completion.
Led by Prof. Dr Sanjib “Neil” Chakraborty
The session will be conducted by Prof. Dr Sanjib “Neil” Chakraborty, President and Founder of East Bridge University (Paris).
Dr Chakraborty has more than thirty years of leadership experience in Asia and Europe, giving him a broad perspective on doctoral education. He holds a PhD in Management Science from the University of Hertfordshire, a Doctor of Education (Ed.D.), an MBA, and an M.Ed., reflecting his wide-ranging expertise in management, leadership, and adult learning.
As the founder of East Bridge University and the Asian College of Teachers, he has helped shape international academic programs, managed accreditation, overseen doctoral supervision, and built governance systems. He also works directly with DBA, Ed.D., and Applied Doctorate candidates, guiding them through research design, choosing methods, analysing data, and preparing for their defence.
Supporting Research Before Data Collection Begins
This upcoming session demonstrates a broader commitment within East Bridge University to strengthening research foundations before execution begins. This webinar is a part of our ongoing efforts to support our students and make doctoral studies more graspable for all. After the successful webinar by Dr Gargi Sen, the session by our founder, Dr Sanjib Chakraborty, is sure to bring more students to clarity and give them confidence in their academic pursuits.
Doctoral research is demanding, and thoughtful preparation can make the difference between continuous progress and extended uncertainty. By addressing topic feasibility, sample accessibility, ethical issues, and structured data collection planning early, scholars are encouraged to approach their work with clarity rather than correction.
For prospective doctoral candidates, academic collaborators, and institutional partners, this initiative embodies our continued effort to foster disciplined, morally grounded, and strategically planned research practices.
Research rarely requires dramatic solutions. More often, it benefits from careful thinking at the right moment.
We look forward to welcoming our research community to this reflective and practically focused conversation.
