On the 29th of March, East Bridge University conducted an interactive webinar for our students led by Dr. Janat Blackmon. The webinar was conducted on how to leverage technology to create effective instructional strategies in modern classrooms. The online session was attended by our students in the Department of Education from across the globe. The session was a deep dive into how the digital age has brought unprecedented opportunities, enabling students and educators to access vast resources, connect globally, and create dynamic, global learning experiences.

Dr. Janat Blackmon is an educator and mentor with over 18 years of experience in teaching and learning internationally. She holds a Doctorate in Education and Leadership and has worked in various educational institutions and organisations across the globe. Her contributions in the field of education have been extraordinary, especially in developing educational and instructional strategies in the sphere of culturally-responsive leadership and educational training.

The webinar on leveraging technology in teaching and learning was an immersive session where Dr. Janet introduced the students to various concepts and ideas that could effectively improve the teaching and learning experiences in the modern setting. The students understood how they can leverage digital tools and technologies to enhance student engagement in both physical and digital classrooms. Dr. Janat also talked about educational strategies to help both the teachers and students better understand the learning outcomes and develop methods that create an engaging learning experience for students.

The students learnt about various AI and EdTech trends that are shaping the current global educational landscape. The webinar gave a proper understanding to our students on the futuristic strategies and methods that they need to follow in order to embark on a successful teaching career in the future internationally. With an approach towards innovative teaching, Dr. Janat successfully introduced the idea of smart classrooms by integrating digital tools for our students. The highly interactive, immersive session greatly helped our students to gear forward in their professional fields armed with the understanding of the role played by digital tools in shaping modern educational experience.
