East Bridge University (EBU) recently hosted an engaging and influential webinar on “Project Management for Senior Leaders: Delivering Complex Change with Control and Confidence,” reaffirming the university's commitment to industry-relevant learning and leadership-focused education.
The session was conducted online and brought together EBU’s MBA and Professional Doctorate students from across the globe. The webinar was a masterclass designed to address the realities of administering the complex organisational workflows.
The webinar was led by Tony Meneghella, an experienced project leadership consultant and governance advisor, whose extensive professional insights added depth and practical relevance to the discussion. The 45-minute session was structured into three segments followed by an interactive Q&A. The webinar offered participants a clear, strategic understanding of project management from a senior leadership perspective.
In the first part, the session explored why project management plays an important role in senior leadership and how effectively managing a project is essential in today’s volatile organisational landscape. Through strategic insights provided by the speaker, participants understood how project management promotes clarity and confidence among employees and helps in the overall growth of the organisation. The webinar also delved into concepts such as governance boundaries, leadership responsibilities, and the value of aligning project delivery with wider organisational transformation goals.
The second segment focused on how project management works in practice, introducing learners to key tools and structures such as project charters, milestones, dashboards, governance models, and delivery approaches, including Agile, Waterfall, and Hybrid methodologies. Real-life challenges, such as optimism bias and political pressure, were openly discussed, making the session both honest and highly relatable for experienced professionals.
The final part of the webinar, Project Management 2.0, was particularly well received, as it introduced the concept of reverse planning as a leadership discipline. Through real-life examples and an organised framework, participants were shown how outcome-driven planning can uncover risks, improve decision-making, and promote organisational transparency.
The session was concluded with a lively Q&A, where learners reflected on how these approaches could be applied within their own career settings. The energy in the session and the meaningful questions from participants made it clear that the webinar strongly resonated. By forming spaces where ideas meet experience, East Bridge University continues to support learners in building the assurance and understanding needed to lead change in the real world.
