In line with our ongoing UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) initiatives, East Bridge University marked Thailand's Children's Day with meaningful community outreach.
Reinforcing our commitment towards SDG 1: No Poverty, on January 10th, EBU extended support to Camillian Home for Children Living with Disabilities in Ladkrabang, a residential facility dedicated to caring for children with physical and intellectual disabilities. This initiative reflects the University's belief that poverty reduction must also address dignity, care, and daily well-being, especially for the most vulnerable.
Supporting Dignity, Care, and Well-being
As part of the outreach, EBU donated essential items to support the children's daily needs and health. The contribution included diapers, medical supplies, specialised nutrition, hygiene and cleaning products, and toys to provide comfort and joy. The donation focused on practical necessities that directly improve the quality of life. By prioritising healthcare and emotional well-being, the initiative recognises that poverty involves access, care, and inclusion, not just economics.
Even though EBU's core mission lies in promoting higher education and lifelong learning, the University upholds responsibilities that go far beyond just academics. In our efforts to promote the SDGs, we are taking part in the global education movement of making education accessible and affordable to all. We also believe that meeting an individual’s basic needs is a prerequisite for their growth and development in life.
The Children's Day outreach program brings to the forefront the need for educational institutions to show up in meaningful and tangible ways to make a difference in society. Supporting the children in Camillian Home for Children Living with Disabilities aligns with EBU’s broader efforts to promote equity, inclusion, and social justice across all SDG-led initiatives. We feel immensely grateful and proud to be able to have this opportunity to make a difference in the lives of humans who are more vulnerable and in need of care.
Continuing Our Efforts Against Social Inequality
EBU remains committed to sustained action that supports vulnerable communities, whether through scholarships, inclusive education policies, community outreach, or humanitarian support. Initiatives like the Thailand Children's Day outreach reaffirm the University’s belief that long-term impact begins with compassion and consistent engagement.
As EBU continues to align its academic mission with global development priorities, it remains focused on advancing social equity through action that is thoughtful, human-centred, and grounded in real community needs.
