EBU Expands Academic Collaboration in Myanmar, Strengthening Its Presence in Southeast Asia

13th January 2026

East Bridge University (EBU) marked a key milestone in its Southeast Asia expansion with an official visit to its Myanmar academic partner, Today’s Top Star College, in Yangon. This visit marks a meaningful step forward in EBU’s long-term commitment to expanding access to high-quality education across Southeast Asia

The visit was more than just a formal engagement. It symbolised the strengthening of a shared academic vision between the two institutions. One of the key highlights of the collaboration is the official launch of the first intake of the Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) programme under this partnership framework. This marks a key milestone in opening new pathways for students in Myanmar in terms of accessing globally aligned business education.

Building Strong Academic Foundations

The EBU delegation that visited Today’s Top Star College was led by Dr Sanjib Chakraborty, Founder of East Bridge University. Dr Chakraborty engaged in conversation with their leadership team regarding furthering our shared academic vision by both institutions working closely. The discussions also focused on how to deliver consistent quality assurance and set a long-term roadmap for academic development that is on par with the highest international standards.

The shared understanding was that educational collaboration in today’s day and age goes beyond just signing agreements. It’s about building systems, trust, and academic cultures that truly benefit students and faculty alike.

Creating Global Learning Opportunities

The academic partnership with Today’s Top Star College, in Yangon, Myanmar, aligns with East Bridge University’s larger vision of providing access to quality education that is internationally benchmarked and creating meaningful academic opportunities in emerging education markets across Asia.

At the heart of this collaboration are the students of Myanmar who will have access to business education that is not only relevant locally but competitive globally. It is about opening new doors and widening perspectives, which is in line with our endeavours of promoting the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goal 17: Partnerships for the Goals. This visit marks a meaningful step forward in EBU’s long-term commitment to expanding access to high-quality education across Southeast Asia.

By working hand in hand with respected local institutions like Today’s Top Star College, EBU continues to strengthen its global academic network while remaining deeply committed to regional development
