East Bridge University (EBU)

EBU Amplifies SDG Awareness at 2025 Bangkok Convocation with Community Engagement and Inclusive Celebration

5th January 2026

Like every year, East Bridge University has celebrated its Grand Annual Convocation with jest, pride, and full of joy and excitement. This year, we held our convocation on December 5th, 2025, in the Amari Hotel at the heart of Bangkok. What stood out for us was the special mention of our ongoing and upcoming initiatives towards furthering the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals.

For us, the 2025 Convocation became a stage for inspiring open educational dialogues and talks regarding our SDG goals, particularly focusing on the 4 SDGs - SDG 1: No Poverty, SDG 4: Quality Education, SDG 5: Gender Equality, and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals. These goals are at the heart of EBU’s mission, and our Convocation provided a vibrant platform to deepen awareness and invite collective reflection on how education and community action can build a more equitable world.

How EBU Promoted SDGs through Convocation Celebration?

The Convocation event at East Bridge University is not just a graduation ceremony; it is an acknowledgement of years of hard work and perseverance. It is the recognition of academic achievement and the stepping stone to a bright future waiting ahead. Since East Bridge University has students from various financial backgrounds, we made sure that no student misses their opportunity to celebrate their moment of academic success through extending financial support options.

This effort shows our ongoing commitment to SDG 1: No Poverty and reminds us that supporting people through education also means removing barriers to important life events.

Through opening doors with Open Educational Events, the Convocation 2025 was also a chance to open our academic space to the wider community. The conversations surrounding the EBU’s SDGs initiatives were filled with energy, curiosity, and real-world questions. Students, alumni, and our honoured guests all participated in discussions that revolved around:

  • Why quality education matters for global progress and personal empowerment?
  • What does SDG 4 mean in practice, especially in expanding access, equity, and innovation in learning?
  • How does education connect with economic opportunity and community wellbeing?

The talks and discussions greatly inspired the audience and were able to raise awareness on how to create more inclusive education systems and fairer academic practices. It helped us as a University to put forth our vision of providing lifelong quality education to all with a more emphatic approach.

Looking Ahead: Lifelong Learning and Shared Progress

East Bridge University’s Convocation Ceremony 2025 was a milestone for raising awareness of sustainability, inclusive education, and global collaboration. Through our discussions and inspiring talks, we reemphasised the importance of breaking financial barriers, promoting a gender-inclusive educational ecosystem, and providing quality education across the globe. Bangkok Convocation was about more than earning degrees; it was about moving forward together toward inclusive education, strong partnerships, and greater social good.
