East Bridge University is pleased to welcome Christopher Maitland, NPQSL, who joins the institution’s Top Management team as Associate Director – Education Leadership & Development. With over a decade of impactful leadership across the UAE and the United Kingdom, Christopher brings extensive experience in Early Years, Primary Education, and school-wide development.
A Decade of Leadership Across the UAE and the UK
Christopher’s career spans more than ten years of proven educational leadership, with a strong foundation in Early Years and Primary Education. His professional journey includes prominent leadership roles such as Head of House, Head of Year, and Head of Key Stage within well-established GEMS schools. His experience reflects a deep commitment to student development, school culture, and operational excellence.
Driving Whole-School Initiatives and Student Success
As a certified NPQSL (National Professional Qualification for Senior Leadership) leader, Christopher has led several strategic initiatives that strengthened pastoral development, behaviour systems, and wellbeing structures. His work in student leadership, staff development, and the coordination of large Key Stage teams has contributed significantly to improving learning environments and academic outcomes.
A Strong Contributor to Teacher Development in the Region
Christopher’s impact extends beyond school leadership. He has been an active collaborator with East Bridge Training (EBT), where he delivered KHDA-approved teacher development programs and supported educators across Dubai. His expertise in wellbeing, leadership, and student-centric practice continues to be highly valued by institutions within the region.
