EBU Extends Financial Support for Convocation, Ensuring Every Graduate Can Celebrate Their Success

18th November 2025

As we are gearing up for one of our biggest events of the year, the Annual Grand Convocation, East Bridge University is extending support to students so that their moment of pride and joy can be etched with celebration and pride. The Convocation is not just a graduation ceremony, but it marks the beginning of new chapters and countless new journeys.

Hence, East Bridge University (EBU) believes that every learner deserves to experience this special milestone, no matter their financial circumstances. And staying true to our commitment to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 1: No Poverty, EBU has introduced a financial support initiative for low-income students, enabling them to attend their Convocation Ceremony at a significantly discounted rate.

Making Milestones Accessible to All

For many students, graduation is not just about wearing a gown or receiving a degree — it represents years of persistence, sacrifice, and hope. But for some, especially those from lower-income families, even participating in this proud moment can feel out of reach.

Understanding this challenge, EBU took a compassionate step forward. We are now providing financial aid and flexible payment options so that no deserving student misses the opportunity to attend their own graduation ceremony.

This support is part of EBU’s Financial Inclusion and Student Success Program, one of our flagship initiatives under the university’s SDG-driven education model. It covers costs for eligible learners and ensures that every student, whether a first-generation graduate, a working professional, or someone balancing multiple responsibilities, can be part of this momentous celebration, either in person or virtually.

At East Bridge University, the convocation ceremony is more than a mere event; it is a symbol of belonging, achievement, and community.

Empowerment Through Inclusion

The EBU’s mission has always been profound yet straightforward: to make education a force for transformation for individuals, families, and societies.

Through programs like the Financial Inclusion and Student Success Initiative, the university has already supported hundreds of learners across the globe with scholarships, flexible tuition plans, and emergency financial assistance. Extending this support to include the Convocation Ceremony is a natural continuation of EBU’s learner-first philosophy.

We recognise the financial challenges that students might face and address them with empathic understanding and financial support. Our financial support is not just mere aid, but a core strength as a human-first global university.

In line with our commitment to foster sustainability through removing barriers in accessing quality education, this initiative ties directly into two of the university’s key sustainable development goals:

SDG 1: No Poverty, by reducing financial obstacles that limit participation in higher education experiences, and

SDG 4: Quality Education, by ensuring equitable access to every stage of the academic journey — from enrolment to graduation.

A Milestone That Belongs to Everyone

At East Bridge University, Convocation isn’t the end of the story — it’s the start of something new. It’s a celebration of resilience, perseverance, and dreams realised.

By making this event accessible to all, EBU reaffirms its commitment to fairness, empowerment, and education with global impact. Each graduate’s success is not just personal — it’s a collective victory that reminds us why inclusive education matters.

When every student, regardless of background, can walk across the stage and celebrate their journey, we move one step closer to a world where education truly leaves no one behind.

I had a great experience learning and pursuing Doctorate as I chose the subject that I am so much interested in. I enjoyed reading and learning from the course work.
