At East Bridge University (EBU), we continue to uphold our belief in education with purpose and impact by contributing to FARM STEW International through GlobalGiving, reinforcing our shared vision for a better world. The initiative supports FARM STEW’s mission to empower families in developing regions with sustainable solutions in nutrition, farming, sanitation, and entrepreneurship — helping communities lift themselves out of poverty.
The donation reflects our enduring vision of “Education with Purpose. Learning with Impact.”, translating academic values into meaningful action that promotes human dignity and sustainable livelihoods. FARM STEW’s community programs directly align with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 1 – No Poverty, focusing on equipping individuals with life skills that foster self-reliance and long-term resilience.
“True education must go beyond knowledge; it must nurture the capacity to build, sustain, and uplift communities,” said Dr Janat Ruby Clemis, Director General of East Bridge University. “Our support for FARM STEW represents EBU’s belief that eradicating poverty begins with practical learning, empowerment, and compassion.”
Through its global outreach, FARM STEW integrates agricultural training, nutrition education, and micro-enterprise development to address the root causes of hunger and poverty. EBU’s support helps expand these initiatives, enabling more families — especially in rural Africa and Asia — to gain the knowledge and tools needed for economic stability and improved quality of life.
This partnership further strengthens EBU’s broader social-impact portfolio, which includes financial-inclusion scholarships for low-income learners and collaborations with community-based organisations advancing the UN 2030 Agenda. By aligning academic purpose with humanitarian action, East Bridge University continues to champion a model of higher education that transforms lives far beyond the classroom.

I am incredibly thankful to the guidance, support and learning I have received during the B.Ed. program. As a graduate of the Master of Arts in Teaching degree program, my experience was transformative. The program gave me a deep understanding of educational theory, effective teaching strategies, and practical classroom management techniques. Through rigorous coursework and hands-on experiences, I developed the skills and knowledge necessary to create engaging and inclusive learning environments. The program also emphasized the importance of ongoing professional development and staying abreast of educational research. I had a great experience learning and pursuing Doctorate as I chose the subject that I am so much interested in. I enjoyed reading and learning from the course work.
