East Bridge University Joins Times Higher Education Impact Rankings, Strengthening Commitment to UN SDGs

27th September 2025

East Bridge University (EBU) is proud to announce its first-ever participation in the prestigious Times Higher Education (THE) Impact Rankings. This step marks a significant milestone in the EBU’s journey to become a socially responsible and globally recognised higher education organisation, furthering our commitment to advancing the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Using teaching, research, stewardship, and community involvement, the THE Impact Rankings are a widely regarded standard that assesses colleges on their contributions toward reaching the SDGs. EBU confirms its accountability not just to students but also to society at large by joining this worldwide platform - thus reinforcing its aim to fit higher education with a future more just, environmentally friendly, and inclusive.

Focusing on Four Key SDGs

With the strive to promote high-quality, affordable online higher learning to all, East Bridge University has committed to abide by the 4 Sustainable Development Goals:

  • SDG 1: No Poverty
  • SDG 4: Quality Education
  • SDG 5: Gender Equality
  • SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals

About Times Higher Education

Regarded worldwide as a leading expert on higher education, Times Higher Education (THE) is noted for its thorough university rankings, insights, and analysis. Among its major programs, the THE Impact Rankings are unique since they are the only worldwide performance rankings that evaluate institutions against the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Four major spheres - research, stewardship, outreach, and teaching - are evaluated in the rankings to gauge how well universities help to address some of the most pressing global problems. Highlighting colleges that are leading change via sustainability, equity, and community participation, THE offers a global stage to honour achievements outside of conventional academic success.

SDG 1: No Poverty

The EBU remains strongly committed to removing obstacles to education. The university strives to alleviate poverty and guarantee access to opportunities for students from various and underrepresented backgrounds through scholarships, financial aid programmes, and community-based projects. EBU also keeps working to improve inclusivity and equality rules, therefore making higher education more accessible.

SDG 4: Quality Education

The core of EBU's objective is to provide quality education that is accessible to all. The institution stresses lifelong learning, paths for vocational training, and graduates equipped with excellent academic credentials. EBU helps to create future-ready students and professionals capable of making a long-lasting impact by increasing access and upholding academic excellence.

SDG 5: Gender Equality

Across its academic and professional circles, EBU loudly supports gender equality. The university gives projects that advance equity, balance, and the development of secure, thriving environments for all genders top priority, ranging from enabling women in leadership roles to creating inclusive classrooms.

SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals

EBU is committed to building international alliances as it understands that world problems call for cooperative solutions. The university aspires to magnify sustainable development initiatives and promote shared progress toward the SDGs by means of significant partnerships across countries.

East Bridge University eagerly looks forward to being a part of the Impact Rankings of Times Higher Education. With this milestone, East Bridge University reaffirms its commitment to transforming higher education into a catalyst for sustainable development, ensuring that its impact extends far beyond classrooms and into society at large.
