Aligning with our goals of promoting sustainable, lifelong education globally, East Bridge University (EBU) is committed to integrating the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) as part of our ongoing strive to foster access to quality education, irrespective of the social, economic, or racial background of individuals.
The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), also known as the Global Goals, were adopted by the United Nations’ member states in 2015 as a part of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. The SDGs were adopted in recognition of the need to promote sustainable and equitable development across the world, including both the developed and the developing nations. The aim of the Sustainable Development Goals is to address the pressing global challenges like poverty, inequality, and gender discrimination, and promote peace, prosperity and justice.
With the strive to promote high-quality, affordable online higher learning to all, East Bridge University has committed to abide by the 4 Sustainable Development Goals:
Our adoption of the Sustainable Development Goals perfectly synchronises with East Bridge University’s vision of building professionals who are ready to face the upcoming global challenges and fostering a community of lifelong learners. EBU’s educational programs are designed with an international focus, where we equip our learners to step confidently into the dynamic professional landscape and thrive in an ever-changing world.
The 4 SDGs: The Strategic Institutional Goals
SDG 1: No Poverty
The goal here is to end poverty in all its forms everywhere. At East Bridge University, we provide comprehensive scholarship programs to learners in an attempt to break financial barriers. Our scholarships are aimed at students who face economic hardships, including working professionals and individuals from marginalised communities.
SDG 4: Quality Education
Quality Education aims to ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all. East Bridge University’s career-ready, flexible and industry-relevant programs are designed with a perfect combination of theoretical ideas with practical learning, enabling students to progress in their current industries or transition into new career opportunities.
SDG 5: Gender Equality
The goal of gender equality is to achieve gender equality and empower all women and girls. At East Bridge University, we are committed to promoting inclusive and equitable learning and championing gender equality across student demographics, board membership and faculty. We try to foster gender-balanced leadership and ensure that no individual is disadvantaged due to gender identity.
SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals
The goal is to achieve sustainable development through the revitalisation of global partnership. At East Bridge University, we believe in strategic alliances and international collaborations to foster academic excellence, student mobility, and drive collective progress toward the SDGs.
East Bridge University has remained committed to its mission of fostering affordable education across borders and breaking financial barriers, as well as gender discrimination, through our scholarship programs and career-focused dynamic programs. Aligning with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) will help further our aim of providing high-quality education to all.
