His academic background also includes a Master of Education (Learning & Development) and an Executive Master in Business Management, reflecting his dedication to academic and professional advancement. His academic research focuses on strategic innovation, leadership transformation, and sustainable development in the maritime industry.

As a nationally accredited Professional Technologist and Panel Assessor with the Malaysia Board of Technologists (MBOT), he contributes actively to national talent and industry development. He aspires to extend his contributions to East Bridge University (EBU) as an Industrial Fellow and Academic Advisory Board Member, strengthening collaboration between academia and industry through innovation, leadership, and global maritime expertise.

She seamlessly integrates insights gained from school evaluations, accreditation visits, and professional collaborations into her daily teaching practice—creating enriched learning experiences that resonate deeply with students.

Reflecting on her doctoral journey, Dr. Maitra describes the completion of her doctorate with East Bridge University as *“akin to witnessing the Northern Lights after a long wait”—*a moment of profound professional fulfilment. She has played a pivotal role in guiding schools through IB PYP authorisation and evaluation processes, including leading governance and strategic oversight of self-study initiatives for IB and CIS evaluations. Her ability to align institutional practices with global benchmarks has consistently ensured compliance, quality assurance, and sustained academic excellence.

A strong advocate of collaborative leadership, she has mentored educators across IB programmes, fostering high-performing teams and nurturing IB-aligned school cultures. Her work reflects a deep understanding of pedagogy, demonstrated through the integration of frameworks such as SOLO Taxonomy and the use of MAP and Aero data to design differentiated curricula, enhance feedback systems, and improve student outcomes.
